Once the Let's Begin section of our website is completed and received, we submit a request to "move" your website from your current hosting service. During the transfer approval process, we schedule our initial visit.
From notes we develop during our visit, we begin your website updates or new custom website design. These steps ensure your website is everything you want and expect.
WHY DO WE MOVE YOUR WEBSITE?
1. We move your website to OUR state-of-the-art servers so we can ensure it's safe and update it or change it completely. To accomplish this step, we can simply copy the original design code and move it to our state-of-the-art servers.
2. In some cases, copying the original design code isn't an option. In these case, we have special tools that allow us to "mirror" a website. Once we have your complete website on our servers, we begin the redesign or editing process.
3. Over time, websites may be using out-of-date coding which is depreciated or replaced with better (more secure) code. At Four States Websites, we specialize in keeping websites up-to-date for best performance!
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY OLD WEBSITE?
Since Four States Websites provides complete website service, including: Web Design, Website Hosting, Email and Regular Updates - included in your Service Plan, once we have updated, recreated or designed your new site, you can DISCONTINUE YOUR OTHER DESIGN & HOSTING SERVICE.
We have helped dozens and dozens of businesses and organizations redesign and update their website. Once we have your website designed to your specifications and running smoothly, we copy all files associated with your site as a backup for your peace-of-mind! ...and, if you want, simply request a copy of your site and we'll be happy to send it to you!
